Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026
Important: Visiting this website or submitting a case review form does not create a solicitor–client relationship. That relationship is formed only upon execution of a written Contingency Fee Agreement between you and Northbound Legal Professional Corporation.

1. Information, not advice

The content on this site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should not act on any information contained here without first seeking legal advice specific to your situation from a licensed lawyer.

2. Past results disclaimer

References to "$47M+ recovered", success rates, individual case studies, and client testimonials describe past results obtained for specific clients in specific circumstances. Past results do not guarantee similar outcomes in future matters. Every case turns on its own facts, applicable law, and the conduct of opposing parties.

3. Contingency fee model

Our "no recovery, no fee" model is governed by a written Contingency Fee Agreement (CFA) executed before any work begins. The CFA is permitted under the Ontario Solicitors Act and the Law Society of Ontario Bylaws for the types of matters we handle. If you are a Quebec resident, the CFA is structured to comply with the Code of ethics of advocates and Barreau du Québec rules.

4. Jurisdiction

Northbound Legal Professional Corporation is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (Firm #P74218). Lawyers acting outside Ontario do so in association with locally licensed counsel where required.

5. Limitations of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, including reliance on its content, interruption of service, or transmission of harmful code.

6. Third-party links

Links to external websites (LSO directory, regulator pages, etc.) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of those sites.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, graphics, logos, design — is owned by Northbound Legal Professional Corporation or licensed to it and is protected under Canadian copyright law. Reproduction without written consent is prohibited.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
